Sometimes you do not need to replace your entire asphalt driveway or parking lot. Sometimes you can just resurface the existing asphalt which means installing a fresh layer of asphalt over the top. This is a great way to save money instead of having to tear out and replace your entire pavement. To make this work, you will have to have a good intact base layer. Often, an overlay can be done even if there are a couple bad spots. We would just saw-cut out the bad parts, apply a new base layer and pave over that spot with enough new asphalt to match the level of your new overlay.
